Yamuna Water Level increase again, Flood Alert in Delhi, School Closed till Sunday.

Yamuna water level is rising in delhi at an alarming rate leading to many catastrophic events. In response to this, delhi chief minister Arvind kejriwal made it clear in his statement that schools, universities and many educational institutions will remain closed till july 16. Every schools in delhi should follow this strict instructions until further information is provided.

Yamuna water level continues to rise in Delhi

Lieutenant Governor of Delhi since 2022 LG VK Saxena called a meeting with Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to discuss about the delhi flood and the countermeasures that must be taken in response to it. In the meeting it was determined that evacuating people from this danger zone must be executed first and must be the top priority. Several government agencies are authorized and prepared to execute the evacuation mission on Yamuna Water Level.

In addition, Arvind Kejiriwal said that agencies engaged in non essential works will also remain close till july 16 and every government agencies in delhi must obey these strict instructions until further information from the Government. People not engaged in government agencies are also notified to take precautions till this date. It will be best if every personnel practice work from home until the catastrophe ends.

The Chief Minister also stated after his meeting “We are also issuing an advisory for private establishment to work from home as much bas possible” He further added that the water level will start decreasing from Friday.

School closed in Delhi for Yamuna Water Level rise

Officials from the LG secretariat said that Commercial establishments near the Kashmere gate area where the Yamuna water drowned the road affecting the normal life are asked to  also remain closed till Sunday.

Strict order from the government also includes that buses on its way to the interstate bus terminals coming from the northern states are to be terminated at singhu borders, no further advancement shall be granted. DTC buses are prepared to ferry passengers from the borders. Commercial vehicles carrying unnecessary goods or items are restricted from entering as well.

Delhi flood situation today

In accordance to the Chief ministers visit to water treatment plant near wazirabad he made it clear that the water treatment plant is running at 75 percent of its capacity “there may be an acute crisis in portable and drinking water at several parts of the capital if this continues” says arvind kejriwal.

To counter the problem of mobile toilets in relief camps the rescued people are moved to schools.
