Earlier, 269 teachers were dismissed for alleged corruption in the recruitment of primary teachers. A case was filed in the High Court on the allegation of illegal initial employment.
After his order, the primary teachers went to the Apex Court. They claimed that the order was given without hearing them. The Apex Court then directed the same single-judge bench to hear the arguments of these 269 primary teachers.
Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay ordered the termination of employment of 269 primary teachers in the case. Again, 140 teachers were dismissed for alleged corruption in the recruitment of primary teachers by Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay.
Earlier, 53 jobs were terminated. Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay remained steady on the decision to terminate the jobs of 140 more teachers and freeze their salaries this time.
In the WB TET Corruption case, on 23rd December, 140 jobs of illegally enrolled primary teachers were cancelled by Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay. Out of 146 teachers who got jobs illegally, 140 jobs were cancelled. He directed WBSSC to stop salaries to the 140 corrupted primary teachers.
