The Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2023 will provide meritorious students an annual amount ranging from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 60,000. This scholarship is awarded by the West Bengal state government, but students will be able to receive the funds after passing madhyamik board exam and 12th board exam. Applicants typically apply for the scholarship after the release of their secondary results. Once the proper rules are followed, the State government will deposit the money directly into the students’ bank accounts within a few months.

Overview of Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2023:-

Previously, West Bengal students were required to pass exams with 75% marks to be eligible for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship. However, in consideration of their financial situation, the new requirement is for every student to secure a minimum of 60 percent marks in their 10th and 12th annual board examinations. For a Master’s degree, 53 percent marks are considered acceptable to be eligible for the scholarship. (Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2023)

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship:-

  • Atleast, 60% marks in Madhyamik exam.
  • To be eligible for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, the annual income of the student’s family should be less than 2.5 lakhs.
  • To qualify for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, the applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
  • Must have his/her aadhar Card.
  • Must have his/her own Bank A/c.
  • To be eligible for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, the applicant must be studying up to the Post Graduate level in an institution located in West Bengal.
  • The students must get admission into any undergraduate (UG) course, medical, engineering, diploma, or any other eligible course in an institution within West Bengal After passing higher secondary (10+2) with 60% marks or more. Once admitted, they can apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship to be considered for the financial support provided by the scholarship program.
  • The student admitted to a postgraduate (PG) course after his/her graduation , even with 53% marks in their UG, can still apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2023.
  • Female Students who have K1 and K2 status under the Kanyashree scheme and have obtained admission into a postgraduate (PG) course with 45% marks are also eligible for financial assistance under the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship.   • The official website of the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship has to be visited first.
  • On the homepage, click “How to apply” button.
  • Select the checkbox located at the bottom of the new page that opens and then proceed by clicking on the ‘Proceed for Registration’ button.
  • The option “Directorate of School Education (DSE)” will be visible on the next new page.
  • Subsequently, click the ‘Apply for Fresh Application’ link .
  • Next, in the registration form, choose the secondary examination option and furnish the relevant documents.
  • Now, Complete the registration form by providing all the necessary information related to the applicant’s name, address, valid email id, phone number, and other required details.
  • Generate a password and then click on the ‘Registrar’ button.
  • Upon completing the registration process, a crucial registration ID will be provided.
  • Proceed to the ‘Applicant Login’ section on the home page and log in using the Applicant ID, Password, and Security Code.
  • In the ‘Dashboard’ on the left side of the new page that opens, click on the ‘Edit Application’ link.
  • Subsequently, upload the required documents and click on the ‘Save and Continue’ button to finalize the application.

Please note that the entire application process for this scholarship is online. Therefore, after applying online, there is no need to submit any documents physically anywhere.
