Swami Vivekananda Scholarship – cut-off marks, required documents, registration and more.
SVMCM also known as Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarships is a scholarship by West Bengal Government. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship aka SVMCM has been providing financial benefits to the students. In the SVMCM, monthly financial assistance will be provided to the students. The students who are taking SVMCM will be benefited by 1500/- to 5000/- monthly.
If a student qualify all the rules and regulations presented by the authorities, he/she will get Swami Vivekananda Scholarship aka SVMCM. To apply in the scholarship, one must be a resident of West Bengal. The family income of the applicant should not be more than IRN 2.5 lakhs/year. The educational institute of the applicant has to be in West Bengal.

Cut-off marks:-
For the higher secondary level of studies, the candidate of Swami Vivekananda Scholarship must have passed the 10th board or Madhyamik pariksha with 75% marks. For the Polytechnic diploma courses, the applicant must have passed out the H.S aka Higher Secondary with 75% marks or 2 years of diploma in modern office practice and management, pharmacy, 3D animation with 75% marks.
For UG courses, the applicant of Swami Vivekananda Scholarship must have 75% marks in the H.S examination. For the P.G or Post Graduate courses, the applicants must have 53% marks in their Hons. subjects. For the engineering students, the applicants must have 55% marks in their Hons. subjects. For the K3 components (Kanyashree applicants), the applicants must be in receipt of a valid sanctioned K-2 id. They must be pursuing Post Graduation course in arts, commerce, science.
How to log in:-
To register as a new user, one must visit Swami Vivekananda Scholarship’s official website.The official website is svmcm.wbhed.gov.in. Then, he / she must register in the website with I’d and password. After registering, they can access the application forms through their accounts.
Then, they need to upload the required documents with format and sizes. After updating the Institute verification form duly attested by the head of the institution, the applicants can submit the online application form. The application forms will be considered complete if they upload the duly attested institute verification form.

Swami Vivekananda was one of the greatest social reformers of Bengal. He inspired and influenced the youth of India and America by representing “Hinduism” at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship has financially benefited the students of West Bengal. Online applications for new candidates for Swami Vivekananda Scholarships has already been started from 17th August, 2022.
Required documents:-
1) Mark sheet of the last examination.
2) Income certificate in the prescribed format.
3) First page of bank pass book mentioning bank account number and IFC code clearly.
4) Institute verification form duly attested by the HOI (Head of the Institute) in the prescribed format.
5) Passport size photo of the applicant.
6) Domicile certificate.
In the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, the students of Higher Secondary and High Madrasah will get 1000/- per month; the students of UG arts and commerce will get 1000/- per month; the students of UG science courses will get 1500/- per month; the students of PG arts and commerce will get 2000/- per month; the students of PG science courses will get 2500/- per month; for UGC approved PG in other professional courses, the students will get 2500/- per month.
In the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, the students of UG and PG in engineering will get 5000/- per month; for the polytechnic courses, the students will get 1500/- per month; for the diploma courses in medical stream, the students will get 1500 per month; the students will get 5000/- monthly for UG courses in medical stream.
