New Driving Speed Limit has been issued on every roads. Drivers are worried!

Driving Speed Limit – In 2018, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had fixed the maximum speed limit on expressways at a minimum range. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari, proposed to the fact to increase the speed limit of vehicles on expressways by a minimum number of range.

He said to increase the driving speed limit of vehicles by up to 20kmph. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari has said, “My personal view is that the speed limit for vehicles on expressways should be increased to 140 km per hour”.

“Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways” has divided the roads across the country into 4 categories. The categories are –
i) Expressway,
ii) Four-lane or more-lane road with dividers,
iii) Municipal border roads
iv) Other roads, including roads in rural areas.

As like the roads, “Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways” has divided the vehicles across the country into 6 categories. The categories are –
i) M1
ii) M3
iii) N category

iv) Motor Cycle
v) Quadricycle
vi) Three wheeler

M1 M3 category:-
The vehicles belongs to M1 M3 category are allowed to roam all kind of roads. The driving speed limit for M1 and M3 category vehicles are written down below-
