Joka-Taratala metro work is reported to be 100% completed by Kolkata Metro Rail. The prime minister of India, Mr.Narendra Modi will first flag off West Bengal’s first Vande Bharat Express from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri, connecting the state’s two most important cities – Kolkata in the south and Siliguri in the north.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the Joka-Dharamtala line on December 30, 2022. The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has also been invited for this inauguration.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate this. Joka to Dharamtala metro line is going to be 14 km long when fully operational. Metro rail will run through 6 places Joka, Thakurpukur, Shakherbazar, Behala Chowrasta, Behala Bazar, Taratala station on this route.
The minimum fare for travelling on this stretch is Rs.5 and the maximum fare is Rs.20. The list of Joka – Taratala metro route distance and fare is given below –
