IMD weather report: Heavy rainfall to be expected in these states till June 9:-

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), (IMD weather report) made its prediction in July 4 and notified that there will be a long duration of heavy rainfall in southern Peninsular India until July 8.

IMD further informed that the weather in these following states will also change accordingly, including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, etc.

IMD weather report for Eastern and North eastern India:-

According to IMD’s report the eastern and north eastern parts of India wwill probably experience isolated heavy rainfall over the next five days i.e, from 4 to 9 of July. Sub-Himalayan parts including West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and Bihar are likely to receive significant or light rainfall during this period. But Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur will probably witness very heavy rainfall over the next three days. (IMD weather report)

Weather in Western Coastal region:-

IMD has predicted that there will be extremely heavy rainfall in four districts of Maharashtra, namely Satara, Pune, Ratnagiri, and Raigad, on July 6 and the surrounding areas will experience moderate rainfall and cloudy weather as well. In response to its prediction  a ‘red alert’ has been issued for Ratnagiri and Raigad, while an ‘orange’ alert has been issued for ten districts, including Nashik, Palghar, Thane, Pune, and Kolhapur.

IMD has reported danger and, exceptionally heavy rainfall in the parts of Konkan, Goa, and Ghat regions of central Maharashtra on July 6, along with Gujarat on July 7 and 8 in the western region. People staying near coastal must stay at high alert. (IMD weather report)

Weather in Southwest coast region:-

The Goa education department in response to the heavy rain forecasted by the IMD,has declared a one-day holiday for schools.  Every school will remain inactive in Thursday in order to ensure the safety of students and staff in light of the anticipated weather conditions. Students And their family must take actions accordingly.

Red alert has been issued in these areas of Goa:-

  • Kutch and Jamnagar districts in Gujarat on July 8.
  • Districts of Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Anand in Gujarat on July 7,

These areas are expected to experience severe rainfall  in these days.

Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in areas including Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana on July 9. IMD also issued a ‘yellow alert’ for most districts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh on July 9. (IMD weather report)

In Jammu and Kashmir, a ‘red alert’ has been issued for Rajouri districts. Similarly, an ‘orange alert’ has been issued for most districts of Bihar on July 9, signifying the likelihood of significant rainfall. These alerts help in preparing and ensuring the safety of residents in the face of anticipated weather conditions.
