As per sources, there is no need to buy a new Airtel 5G sim to experience the new Airtel 5G network connection that it offers. Customers can have the new Airtel 5G connection in their old 4G sim. “Customers can enjoy 5G services on their existing data plans until roll-out is complete. No SIM change needed; existing Airtel 4G SIM is 5G enabled,” cites the Airtel official 5G guidelines.
