7% DA Hike for West Bengal Govt. employees!

DA Hike – Cold war between employees with the state government over DA Hike and DA arrears was at an extreme. In May this year, the Calcutta High Court had directed the employees to clear all DA arrears within the next six months. But the West Bengal government is reluctant to walk on this path.

Challenging this order of the High Court, the state Govt. Of West Bengal approached the Supreme Court. If the employees are given their dues as per the demands of the state, the state of the government’s exchequer may become critical.

Earlier on a social media platform, a member of the Bengal Teachers’ Association was heard saying that he had received a tip from the finance ministry that the state government employees may get a 7% DA hike.

But no one has verified the authenticity of this video so far. So the statement of many that the DA will actually be increased remains in doubt.

After all these stuffs came out, speculation started all around. But in the end nothing has been clarified on this issue by the WB state government. But the hearing against the government in Calcutta has been adjourned till 14. 12. 2022 regarding this case.
